A brave colour choice saw the striped home jersey fashioned into a Gold and Brown away concoction. The magnificent 81-82 campaign saw the club, now managed by Ian Porterfield gain promotion back to the Third Division as champions, losing only 4 games along the way. Steve Charles and Alan Young are just two of the SUFC stars to have worn this shirt I am writing to advise you that I have received the new 1982 Sheff Utd shirt - I love it and it brings back memories of when I was a lad. I was also interested to hear that you are hoping to release the home shirt from the same year. To avoid being disappointed can I put my name down for one in size large.
